Oh, Hell, Like I Need Another Blog
There's nothing like expediency for expediting something. There probably won't be much content posted here, although I might use it as a photolog using the free Pikasa/Hello software now and then.
I just needed to be able to comment on other Blogger blogs, and bloggity bloggity blog blog blog.

I'll be the first poster at the poster party...
Here's to your blog and your bloggity blog bloggin...
I need a drink. This is getting WAY complex.
I can't even spell your...
I meant to say, your pictures are so much clearer than mine. Are you using Picasa as a host? cause I'm not and that may be the difference, but then again, I am a computer idiot so I don't know...
Well, thank you. How did you upload your rainbow picture? It's gorgeous! Where was it taken?
I have to use Hello because I don't have this blog set up for FTP technobabble-argle-bargle-web-hosted-elsewhere stuff. Your picture would probably work better if you resized it; it's so big now it overflows the margins of your post, and it might look clearer and cleaner if you uploaded a smaller copy. I've noticed that happens with mine - at too big a size, the resolution gets sorta grainy.
The nice thing about Hello is that it will resize images automagically for your blog - when you go in to set it up, it shows you the default sizes for your daily/main index posts, and the larger default sizes the photos will be in your archive pages (which have wider margins).
I use a version of Photoshop that came with my camera, which makes it possible to resize, crop, and do a few fun things (I haven't gotten into the whole Photoshop fakery thing, but can appreciate the work that goes into it). I had to slightly rotate the "winery dog" photo to get the wineboxes to be vertical; then I cropped along the line to get rid of some guy's legs, and also cropped out some extra glare on the other side. The original is at http://gallery.blogula-rasa.com/Napa-And-The-City/winedog001 so that you can see the difference.
I'm not sure how I figured out how to do this stuff, but a lot of it was along the lines of "Honeeeeeey? How do I..."
Criminy, I just realized I have to allow anonymous comments. I'll reset that.
Hey Ginny! Thanks for the information. The rainbow isn't mine...it's a link. I had posted some personal pictures which I soon deleted. There were all fuzzy anyway. I then downloaded Picasa and now my pictures are all clear. It seems Hello works much better when you use Picasa.
